In 2011 William entered the Ginetta Junior Scholarship where he managed to get through to the final round despite never having driven a car before. He had some great instructors who encouraged him to pursue a career in Motorsport. Eighteen months later at 18, William began racing within the BRSCC Mazda Championship in 2013. Making his debut to the sport, he progressed and delivered strong results, showing consistency and pace.
Then in 2014, William stepped up to race in the Power Maxed MINI Challenge Championship, in the Cooper Class with Excelr8 Motorsport, where he proved his talent with 2 wins, 11 podium finishes, several lap records and an overall 4th place championship position.
In 2015 William moved up to the F56 being the highest class in the Mini Challenge Championship. Again his ability shone through as he finished the season in 5th place overall, and won the Sunoco Fastest Driver award. Along the way he achieved 5 podiums, 3 lap records and 5 fastest laps.
2016 provided yet another incredible opportunity to test Williams skills by competing for the first time in the British GT Championship in the GT4 class with Jordan Stilp as his co-driver in the RCIB Insurance Team Ginetta G55. At the end of the season they came 3rd in the Silver cup, 8th overall and their consistent results helped the team secure 1st place in the GT4 Team Championship.
In 2017 William has decided to remain in British GT Championship GT4 class but this time with Macmillan Racing and will be driving their Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
